October 6, 2022

Jennifer Lawrence is a military veteran struggling to adjust to life as a civilian in the official trailer for “Causeway,” hitting theaters and Apple TV+ in November.

Directed by Lila Neugebauer, the psychological drama stars Lawrence as Lynsey, a U.S. soldier who suffered a traumatic brain injury while deployed in Afghanistan. She has trouble putting her life back together after returning home to New Orleans but finds comfort in a new friend (Bryan Tyree Henry).

Written by Elizabeth Sanders, Luke Goebel, and Ottessa Moshfegh, “Causeway” also stars Linda Emond, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Jayne Houdyshell, and Russell Harvard. The film, which debuted last month at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, is Lawrence’s first since last year’s Best Picture-nominated satire “Don’t Look Up.”

The award-winning actress spoke about her storied career at length during her Stern Show debut in which she and Howard also chatted about everything from her infamous Oscar stumble to what happened that time she got way too high at a celebrity’s party. “Causeway” arrives in theaters and on Apple TV+ on Nov. 4.
