Jay Pharoah takes his mastery of impressions to another level in the latest trailer for “Spinning Gold,” a disco-era biographical drama about the founders of Casablanca Records.

The comedian, former “SNL” star, and recent Stern Show guest plays real-life record exec Cecil Holmes, a music lover who along with industry legend Neil Bogart (Jeremy Jordan) helped discover now-iconic acts like Donna Summer, Parliament, Gladys Knight, the Isley Brothers, the Village People, Bill Withers, and even KISS, who performed for Howard and his listeners earlier this week.

The film’s funk, rock, and disco-filled trailer promises an inside look at the ragtag team of young music lovers who rewrote music history and changed the music industry forever. Written and directed by Timothy Scott Bogart, Neil Bogart’s son, “Spinning Gold” also stars Wiz Khalifa, Chris Redd, Tayla Parx, Pink Sweats, Jason Derulo, Ledisi, Vincent Pastore, Michelle Monaghan, and past Stern Show guest Sebastian Maniscalco.

When Pharoah sat down with Howard on Monday he had plenty to say about his role in the new film. He also flaunted his impressive array of celebrity impressions, from Denzel Washington to President Barack Obama. Check out a clip from his visit (below).

“Spinning Gold” opens March 31.
