Underdog Is Ready to Dance to Beethoven on Jimmy Kimmel’s Late-Night Show
There are no official plans for an appearance, but if invited she’ll be there
Howard will definitely be a guest on Wednesday night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” but will Suzanne Muldowney? The dance enthusiast, known to Stern Show superfans simply as “Underdog,” recently told Shuli Egar if she gets asked to appear on the late-night talk show, she’s prepared to perform. Suzanne even has a song selected that she’d like to dance to.
“If I just came and did a miscellaneous interpretive dance without any characterization behind it — Beethoven’s ‘Moonlight Sonata,’” she told Shuli over the phone.
Creating her own unique characters is one reason her fans love her so much, though. And with Halloween right around the corner, Shuli asked Suzanne to consider which costume she would wear on the show.
“There’s several that I use for parades but for Halloween itself I’ve always used this special ghost costume character, Spectrum the Ghost King,” Underdog explained.
In the past, Suzanne has shown up to events donning a Dracula costume while playing the part of Vlad the Impaler. But if she wears that outfit on Jimmy’s show, there might be a problem — the dance routine she does for that character runs 24 minutes long.
“Where does she get to perform that?” Robin Quivers wondered.
Suzanne is no stranger to “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” either. She demonstrated her moves once before while appearing on the late-night series in 2006. She performed what she called “figure jogging” to the tune of “Funkytown” for Jimmy and his guest David Alan Grier.
In August, Suzanne actually called into the Stern Show to ask Kimmel why he never replied to a letter she sent him back in 2014. She had offered to dance on camera in celebration of the 50th anniversary of her cartoon superhero Underdog. Although Jimmy said her letter never came, he did say he was open to having her perform on his show.
So will Suzanne be cutting a rug on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” tonight? The world will have to tune into ABC at 11:35/10:35c to find out!
