Not
only did Howard’s new book “Howard Stern Comes Again” hit store shelves on Tuesday,
he also had one of his longtime dreams come true live in the Stern Show studio.
“I
always wanted to work with a choir,” Howard told the 14 members of the New York
City Gospel Choir who came in singing their hearts out to celebrate the book being released. Their performance
was so powerful the entire Stern Show studio shook as they sang special
renditions of “Oh Happy Day” and “I
Will Follow Him.”
Howard himself got in on the act while performing “Movin’
on Up,” the theme song from TV sitcom “The Jeffersons” as the choir backed him up.
“Can I get an amen for Conan O’Brien?” Howard asked
the choir, telling them he recently named the late-night TV host his best
interview. He also got amens for comedians Jerry Seinfeld and David Letterman,
also featured in the book, and even got a hallelujah for Halle Berry, just for
good measure.
