Stern Show executive producer caught embracing son Lucas without a mask
What normally would have been a moment of affection between father and son instead drew concern Monday when Stern Show executive producer Gary Dell’Abate was caught on camera greeting son Lucas with a warm embrace.
“You’re hugging him?” Howard said in disbelief after learning Lucas had already gone off to college and come back, despite his objections due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We were supposed to have a conversation about this. He’s supposed to get a test,” Gary defended, adding he was caught off guard by Lucas hugging him.
When questioned, Lucas was quick to admit wrongdoing. “It was honestly just impulse, I kind of wasn’t thinking,” he said before expressing some regret for going back to campus. “I will say I’m pretty freaked out. Like as soon as I got there, there’s just 10 guys shirtless playing beer pong in our driveway.”
“You literally could have just given your father COVID and he’s no spring chicken,” Howard pressed as Gary covered his mouth with his T-shirt. “You know what Gary’s downfall is, he’s a great dad. Everybody wants to hug him.”
