VIDEO: Foo Fighters Lead a Retirement Home Revolt in ‘Run’

Dave Grohl directed the video for his band's new single

June 1, 2017

The Foo Fighters shocked fans on Thursday with a surprise video for their brand new single “Run.”

The Dave Grohl-directed effort (above) features the band, in impressive prosthetic makeup disguising them as octogenarians, rocking out at a retirement home. The music inspires elderly concertgoers to get rowdy and eventually revolt, of course, and the resulting ruckus includes everything from cane fights to sagging, (prosthetic) old-lady breasts. There’s also a choreographed dance number at the end which pays homage to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

“Run” is the Foo Fighters’ first new song since their “Saint Cecilia” EP in 2015. The band also visited the Stern Show in 2014 to discuss the origins of some of its greatest hits. Check out more from that interview here.
