Queens of the Stone Age Announce New Mark Ronson-Produced Album ‘Villains’ out This Summer

Rock band will also tour with Stern Show guests Royal Blood in 2017

June 19, 2017

Queens of the Stone Age announced their next album “Villains” will be out August 25, released on Matador Records. The album’s title was revealed in a Liam Lynch-directed video (above) involving a spoof lie detector test, a goofy cameo by “Villains” producer Mark Ronson (who bonded with Josh Homme after working late nights with him on Lady Gaga’s “Joanne” album), and a preview of their new single “Feet Don’t Fail Me.”

It’s been four years since the release of Queens of the Stone Age’s last studio album “…Like Clockwork” and unlike that and other previous albums, which featured guest stars like Trent Reznor, Sir Elton John, Alex Turner, and Dave Grohl, this new album promises to be just Josh Homme and the rest of the core crew.

In support of their new album release, Queens of the Stone Age also announced a 2017 North American tour with Stern Show guests Royal Blood in support.

Sneak a listen to Queens’ sexy, swaggering new single “The Way You Used To Do” from “Villians” here.
