Amazon Studios and Roadside Attractions just released the first trailer for “The Only Living Boy in New York” — a coming-of-age story set in NYC about recent college grad Thomas (Callum Turner), whose life is turned upside down by the alluring mistress (Kate Beckinsale) of his father (Pierce Brosnan). Past Stern Show guest Jeff Bridges plays an eccentric neighbor who moves into Thomas’s building and mentors him on girl problems, as well as the other woman in his father’s life. The question is: Does Thomas have an ulterior motive for meeting this other woman?

In the trailer, Beckinsale says to Turner, “You’re innocent, Thomas. You have no idea how the world works.” Turner replies, “I know some things,” before boldly kissing her, following Bridges’ earlier advice to “pounce” when there’s a window.

Named after the Simon & Garfunkel song from their “Bridge Over Troubled Water” album, “The Only Living Boy In New York” also stars Cynthia Nixon and Kiersey Clemons, with Marc Webb (“The Amazing Spider-Man”) directing. It hits theaters on August 11.
