VIDEO: Claire Danes Makes Threats and Delivers Blows in ‘Homeland’ Season 7 Official Trailer

Showtime’s explosive spy drama returns Feb. 11

December 13, 2017

Bipolar CIA officer Carrie Mathison has difficulty adjusting to life outside the White House in the newly released official trailer for “Homeland” Season 7, debuting in February on Showtime.

At the end of last season, Carrie (Claire Danes) left her post in the White House to move back in with her sister. Now, it looks like she’ll be taking President Keane’s (Elizabeth Marvel) administration head on in the hopes of freeing the 200 intelligence agents arrested last season, including her friend and longtime mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin).

As the new season begins, however, Carrie and Saul seem to be on opposite trajectories. Carrie slowly begins to breakdown over the course of the trailer (above), which ends with her beating a man with a collapsible baton while threatening to hunt down and kill someone else. Saul, meanwhile, gets rather quickly promoted from handcuffs to President Keane’s new National Security Advisor.

When Danes visited the Stern Show back in 2015, she spoke to Howard about everything from her award-filled career to her future on “Homeland” and her affection for the cast. Check out a clip from the interview (below).

“Homeland” Season 7 premieres Sunday, Feb. 11 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
