Steven Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers dropped a music video this week for its recent bluegrass single “Caroline.”
It stars “Saturday Night Live” veterans Cecily Strong and Bill Hader, perhaps unsurprising considering the comedy legend and 2016 Stern Show guest has hosted the long-running sketch-comedy show 15 times.
In the colorful video (above), we see Hader play a heartbroken man recovering from his failed romance with Strong, who seems to be coping much better with her newly minted single status. Intercut with the relationship drama is glimpses of a banjo-wielding Martin and his Steep Canyon Rangers playing the tune.
The band dropped "Caroline" last month along with a comical infomercial promoting his band's upcoming EP "The Long-Awaited Album." Check out Steve's must-hear impressions of Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and the Beatles (below).
In 2016, Steve made his long-awaited Stern Show debut to discuss his Tony-nominated bluegrass musical “Bright Star” as well as his storied career in the entertainment business. Check out highlights from his visit here.
"Caroline" is the first single off Martin's upcoming "The Long-Awaited Album," due out Sept. 22. Watch the video (above).
