Chris Robinson to Play Black Crowes Music Once More in New Band, As the Crow Flies
Singer and recent Stern Show guest also reveals plans for a 2018 Spring tour

The Black Crowes may have broken up but fans will soon be able to talk to angels once again.
Singer and recent Stern Show guest Chris Robinson has announced plans to revive his former band’s prolific catalogue with a new rock group he’s just formed, As the Crow Flies.
The group, whose musicians also includes guitarists Marcus King and Audley Freed, keyboardist Adam MacDougall, bassist Andy Hess, and drummer Tony Leone, will embark on a small U.S. tour this spring. The performances will consist primarily of Black Crowes music, according to reports.
As the Crow Flies will thus have a number of hits at their disposal, considering the Black Crowes’ repertoire includes two multi-platinum albums and several chart-topping singles, like “Hard to Handle,” Remedy,” and “She Talks to Angels.”
In between his new band’s tour dates Chris will still be touring with his current primary band, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. When visiting the Stern Show last May, he spoke all about the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, telling Howard he was very happy with the project and doing exactly what he “always wanted to be doing.” He also spoke about songwriting with the Black Crowes, and how he came to pen several of those aforementioned hits.
