Just when he thought he was out, they pulled him back in.

On Thursday, Amazon Studios dropped the official trailer for Season 2 of “Sneaky Pete,” the Bryan Cranston-produced crime drama about an ex-con named Marius (Giovanni Ribisi) who convinces the world he’s actually his old cellmate—Pete—in the hopes of conning Pete’s family out of their money.

On the first batch of episodes, Marius repeatedly went up against a ruthless crime boss named Vince (Cranston) before seemingly walking away from the ruse for good. On the Season 2 trailer (above), however, it’s clear he’s getting sucked right back in courtesy of two thugs promising to murder Pete’s family if Marius doesn’t give them millions of dollars. Perhaps worse yet, Marius’s epic con may soon be exposed as the real Pete has finally been released from prison.

“Sneaky Pete,” also starring Marin Ireland, Shane McRae, Peter Gerety, and Margo Martindale, was co-created by Cranston and David Shore (“Justified”). Cranston, who also directed a Season 1 episode of the series, last visited the Stern Show in 2015 for a wide-ranging conversation which touched upon both his career and his life off-camera. Check out a clip from his conversation with Howard (below).

“Sneaky Pete” Season 2 debuts March 9 on Amazon Prime. Watch the trailer (above).
