VIDEO: Krysten Ritter Struggles With Past Demons in ‘Jessica Jones’ Season 2 Trailer
Acclaimed Marvel-Netflix series returns with new episodes in March
February 7, 2018New York City’s booze-guzzling, super-powered private detective is back at the bar in the official trailer for Season 2 of Marvel’s “Jessica Jones,” hitting Netflix next month.
The story picks up after the events of last year’s “Defenders,” which saw Jessica (Krysten Ritter) teaming up with Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones), and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) for an epic fight to save the city from Elektra (Elodie Yung), an army of ninjas, and a villain played by Sigourney Weaver.
Though Jessica’s physical wounds have healed, the tough-talking P.I. looks like she’s still struggling to overcome some emotional traumas, including the car accident that gave her powers as a young girl as well as the possible return of Kilgrave (David Tennant), her mind-controlling archenemy from Season 1.
This latest trailer also teases the potential emergence of a few other popular Marvel characters, including Jessica Jones’ comic book sidekick Hellcat and the star-spangled Avenger himself, Captain America.
“Jessica Jones” Season 2—co-starring Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, and J.R. Ramirez—debuts March 8 on Netflix.
