Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters Drop Live Concert Video of ‘The May Queen’

Robert Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters recently released a live concert video of “The May Queen,” the lead single off the rock pioneer’s latest studio album, “Carry Fire.”
The nearly five-minute-long performance (above) was filmed last November at England’s O2 Apollo Manchester. The twangy, bluesy-infused track has a lot to offer, too, from the former Led Zeppelin legend’s rich and soulful voice to a fiddle solo-filled finale.
When Robert made his Stern Show debut last October, he and Howard enjoyed a wide-ranging conversation touching upon a variety of topics, including a run-in with Elvis Presley, a prank he once helped pull on the Who, and how he managed to move forward after the heartbreaking loss of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. He also had much to say about “Carry Fire” as well as the continued thrill of making new music more than 50 years after first breaking onto the scene.
“I love everything that I do now. Otherwise, you know, I’d be growing vegetables somewhere,” Robert told Howard. “This is no struggle, mate. This is all I want to do.”
