VIDEO: Sarah Jessica Parker Takes the Stage as a Jazz Singer in ‘Here and Now’ Trailer
Past Stern Show guest co-stars with Renée Zellweger, Simon Baker, and Common in new film premiering Nov. 9October 9, 2018
Practice makes perfect for Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Vivienne in the new film “Here and Now” where she plays an established jazz singer set to release her ninth album. But as good as she’s gotten at performing in front of fans, her personal life is far from hitting the high notes.
“I’ve missed so much,” Parker says in the trailer (above).
Her teenage daughter Lucie, played by actress Gus Birney, is less than thrilled to suddenly see her mother standing in the apartment where she’s been living with Simon Baker, who plays Vivienne’s ex-husband. The reason for this visit isn’t an enjoyable one, either, as Vivienne has just received a grim health diagnosis. With her time left in question, she now must reflect on her past and figure out what she wants her legacy to be, both as a performer and as a parent.
Parker, who made her Stern Show debut in 2016, co-stars with Academy Award winners Renée Zellweger and Common as well as Jacqueline Bisset, Phillipa Soo, and Taylor Kinney.
“Here and Now” premieres Nov. 9 in theaters and on demand.
