VIDEO: Jamie Foxx Gives Taron Egerton a Crash Course in Thievery in ‘Robin Hood’ Official Trailer

Nov. 21 action flick co-stars Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson, and Jamie Dornan

Oscar-winning actor and repeat Stern Show guest Jamie Foxx schools “Kingsman” star Taron Egerton on becoming Sherwood Forest’s most infamous outlaw in the new trailer for the 2018 reimagining of “Robin Hood.”

While the first teaser for the Lionsgate film offered a broad overview of the arrow-filled action flick's apparent trajectory, the newly released official trailer (above) provides a much closer look at the close relationship between Robin of Loxley (Egerton), a war-hardened Crusader, and his Moorish commander Little John (Foxx).

Little John seems hellbent on schooling Robin in the arts of stealing, subterfuge, and shooting straight so the young lord might lead his Merry Men in a stunt-filled revolt against the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” villain Ben Mendelsohn). Upon graduation, Little John even gives him the name Robin Hood.

Directed by “Peaky Blinders” and “Black Mirror” veteran Otto Bathurst, the film co-stars Eve Hewson (“Bridge of Spies”) as Maid Marian, Jamie Dornan (“Fifty Shades of Grey”) as Will Scarlet.

“Robin Hood” takes aim Nov. 21. Watch the official trailer (above).
