The Hormone Monsters are back and ready for the seventh grade.

Netflix announced an Oct. 5 premiere date for Season 2 of Nick Kroll’s animated comedy series “Big Mouth.” The streamer broke the news in a teaser for the upcoming 10-episode season, centering once again around the misadventures of several youngsters and the puberty-induced demons (voiced by Kroll and “The Happytime Murders” star Maya Rudolph) who wreak havoc in their lives.

Loosely based on Kroll and co-creator Andrew Goldberg’s teenage years, Season 2 of “Big Mouth” sees the kids preparing for the seventh grade and all the body image, self-discovery, and birth control-related awkwardness that entails.

Returning cast members once again lending their voices to the show include Stern Show veteran Fred Armisen, celebrity superfans John Mulaney and Jason Mantzoukas, and the likes of Jenny Slate, Jordan Peele, and Jessi Klein. They’ll be featured alongside newcomers Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”), reportedly voicing the first girl at the kids’ middle school to develop breasts, and David Thewlis (“Wonder Woman”), voicing the Shame Wizard.

“Big Mouth” Season 2 debuts Friday, Oct. 5 on Netflix. Watch the teaser (above).
