VIDEO: Record Store Convinces Alice Cooper to Reunite After 40 Years in 'Live From the Astroturf' Trailer

After a 40-year hiatus, Alice Cooper made news in 2015 when the band reunited for a single night to deliver an epic set from a Texas record store. Now, both the concert and the behind-the-scenes story is being immortalized in the rock documentary “Alice Cooper: Live From the Astroturf.”

The film follows Chris Penn, an Alice Cooper super fan and the owner of Dallas’s Good Records, as he convinces Cooper to reunite with his surviving original bandmates Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, and Neal Smith along with Ryan Roxie (filling in for late guitarist Glen Buxton). Apart from the band’s 2011 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the performance would be Alice Cooper’s first time on stage together since they disbanded in 1974. But getting them to reunite wouldn’t be easy.

“We never knew if Alice Cooper was gonna come,” Penn admits in the trailer.

Of course, the legendary frontman, past Stern Show guest, and prolific solo artist did show up. And from the looks of it, he and and his band put on one hell of a show.
