VIDEO: Sia’s New Supergroup Debuts Psychedelic ‘No New Friends’ Music Video

Pop star and past Stern Show guest teams up on the track with Labrinth and Diplo

April 17, 2019

U.K. singer Labrinth, pop sensation Sia, and electronic music producer Diplo recently formed a supergroup called LSD. Fittingly, their act’s new music video for “No New Friends” is as psychedelic as they get.

Dano Cerny directed the vibrantly colored, fanciful clip which stars 16-year-old Maddie Ziegler as a Sia lookalike exploring a strange world in which Labrinth is tiny, Diplo is super-sized, and Maddie is both a giant and a dozen smaller dancing versions of herself at the same time.

The song behind the video hails from LSD’s debut album “Labrinth, Sia & Diplo Present… LSD,” which arrived in stores last Friday. “No New Friends” is the fifth single from that effort, following “Audio” and “Thunderclouds,” amongst others.

LSD isn’t the first time Sia has teamed up with Labrinth. In 2017, they worked together on “To Be Human,” a hit track from the “Wonder Woman” soundtrack. When the camera-shy singer joined the Stern Show in 2014, she spoke to Howard all about what goes into writing her most successful songs, which also include chart topping hits performed by Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Britney Spears. LSD’s “Labrinth, Sia & Diplo Present… LSD” is available now.
