Allison Janney becomes a local celebrity after he husband goes missing in the trailer for the upcoming crime comedy “Breaking News in Yuba County.”

The award-winning “Private Parts” star plays Sue Buttons, an overlooked housewife whose life takes a turn for extraordinary when her philandering husband disappears. At first glance, he appears to have been the victim of a violent kidnapping, but as cops and a reporter played by Stern Show veteran Mila Kunis dig deeper they learn there may be more to the story. Sue quickly finds herself in over her head and it becomes apparent she will seemingly stop at nothing to prolong her 15 minutes of fame and prevent the full truth from coming out.

“I am strong, I am important, I am enough,” Janney’s character proclaims at one point (above) over a montage of crime, chaos, and guns aimed at genitalia. “I’ve done nothing wrong. I just want my husband back.”

Directed by Tate Taylor and written by Amanda Idoko, “Breaking News in Yuba County” also stars Stern Show veterans Wanda Sykes and Juliette Lewis as well as Awkwafina, Regina Hall, Samira Wiley, Bridget Everett, Matthew Modine, and Ellen Barkin.

“Breaking News in Yuba County” opens Feb. 12 digitally and in select theaters
