Stern Show veteran Mila Kunis and Emmy-winning “Saturday Night Live” star Kate McKinnon are best friends on the run from international assassins in “The Spy Who Dumped Me,” an upcoming action-comedy which sees two Los Angelinos unexpectedly thrust into the middle of an international conspiracy after one of their ex-boyfriends turns out to be a C.I.A. agent.

Lionsgate has just dropped the film’s official trailer (above), which begins with Morgan (McKinnon) comforting her friend Audrey (Kunis) during a lackluster birthday celebration. “I’m 30 years old. I wear a Hawaiian shirt to work. My boyfriend dumped me in a text,” Mila’s character complains.

Everything changes, however, after the women learn Audrey’s ex-boyfriend Drew (Justin Theroux) is actually a spy on the run from a team of assassins. It’s suddenly life or death stakes for Morgan and Audrey, who head to Europe in the hopes of avoiding doom and averting an international crisis. From there we’re treated to a montage of stunts and shenanigans aplenty, including everything from high-flying trapeze act to an assassin getting mowed down by a double-decker bus.

When Mila made her Stern Show debut in 2016, the award-winning actress spoke to Howard all about the many different types of on-screen roles she embraces, whether it’s playing a boozy mess in the raunchy “Bad Moms” franchise or sharing a steamy love scene with Natalie Portman in Darren Aronofsky’s Oscar-winning thriller “Black Swan.” Listen to a clip of her conversation with the King of All Media (below).

“The Spy Who Dumped Me,” also starring Gillian Anderson, Sam Heughan, and Hasan Minhaj, hits theaters Aug. 3. Watch the official trailer (above).
