Richard Simmons has returned to social media after a lengthy hiatus, and as Howard revealed on Wednesday, the 76-year-old celebrity fitness guru has posted plenty of kind things about his time on the Stern Show.
In one recent post, the longtime guest fondly reminisced about coming into the studio while dressed like a biker. “He put on a wig and a mustache and a muscle shirt, and he came in and started roughing me up and saying he was going to kick my ass,” Howard recalled with a laugh. “I was scared shitless. I didn’t know it was Richard Simmons.”
Howard and co-host Robin Quivers were both happy to learn Richard had returned to the public eye. “That he’s once again engaging in some way with the world gives me encouragement,” Robin said.
Howard agreed. “I really miss Richard,” he said. “I love that guy. I hope he’s okay.”
