VIDEO: Kate Beckinsale Plays an Investigative Journalist in Trailer for Dark Comedy ‘Guilty Party’

Kate Beckinsale deals with guns, swords, and toe sucking in the trailer for her new Paramount+ series “Guilty Party,” debuting Thursday, Oct. 14.
The “Underworld” heroine stars as Beth Burgess (above), a disgraced journalist hoping to salvage her career by telling the story of a young mother (Jules Latimer) doing hard time for a crime she may not have committed. The 10-episode, half-hour dark comedy follows Beth’s investigation as she contends with everything from Colorado gun smugglers and clickbait culture to the problems in her own marriage.
“My husband wants me to become this walking uterus,” she laments at one point in the clip (above).
Written by Rebecca Addelman and directed by Trent O’Donnell, “Guilty Party” also boasts Geoff Stults, Tiya Sircar, Alanna Ubach, Laurie Davidson, and Andre Hyland.
“Guilty Party” debuts Thursday, Oct. 14 on Paramount+.
