Neil Young Transforms Into a Tree in ‘Love Earth’ Music Video

Song serves as the lead single off his new album with Crazy Horse, "World Record”

October 5, 2022

Neil Young enjoys a barefoot walk through nature before turning into a tree in the music video for “Love Earth,” the eco-friendly lead single off his and his longtime band Crazy Horse’s upcoming album “World Record.”

The Daryl Hannah-directed clip sees the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer keeping his back to the camera for most of the twangy ode to mother nature, but things take a turn for the surreal when a bushy green tree adopts his face and begins to sing the song’s chorus.

Arriving next month, “World Record” will be released on CD, cassette, and on vinyl as a three-sided double album with an engraving on side four. The 11-track effort serves as Neil and Crazy Horse’s first collaboration since 2021’s “Barn,” which the rock legend joined the Stern Show to promote last December.

As listeners will remember, Young’s conversation with Howard also touched upon everything from touring in the age of COVID-19 to the time he previewed his seminal record “Harvest” for Graham Nash while they were sitting in a rowboat. Check out a clip from the interview (below).

Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s “World Record” arrives Nov. 18.
