A recent “CBS Sunday Morning” interview with Bill Belichick went viral after the legendary football coach’s 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson interrupted the conversation to tell journalist Tony Dokoupil that she and her 73-year-old beau were there to talk about his new book and not how the two of them met.
“Jordon was in the room. She jumped right in,” Howard explained to listeners on Monday, jokingly adding that Bill might have preferred it if he and Jordon sat there silently while CBS promoted his book.
The interview got even more awkward as Dokoupil asked Bill about some Instagram photos in which he’s dressed like a fisherman and Jordon’s dressed like a mermaid caught on his line. While the question caught Bill off guard, Howard could understand why even the most serious of men might agree to take silly photos with a girlfriend 49 years his junior.
“I’d let her take all the stupid pictures she wants,” he laughed.
Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers agreed. “[Bill’s] looking at that reporter and saying, ‘You’d do it, too,’” she joked.
