Howard Gets Mentioned During Republican Debate

A caller named Bill got through this morning, prompting Howard with a quick: “I thought this was the ISIS hotline.”

Howard laughed, but told Bill that he wasn’t nearly awake enough to get involved in the bit.

Bill said his main reason for calling in was that he heard Donald Trump give Howard a shout-out during the debate last Thursday.

As Megyn Kelly, the Fox News moderator, and Trump squared off on a number of topics, the presidential hopeful mentioned “an interview with a great friend of mine, and yours, Howard Stern” in reference to both his own past Stern Show appearances as well as Kelly’s 2010 appearance.

Howard said he was lying in bed watching when it happened and admitted that he “giggled” after hearing it.
