AUDIO: Will Wendy the Slow Adult Lend Howard Some Money?

Wendy the Slow Adult has been calling the Stern Show for over 15 years now and she’s collected countless cash gifts from Howard in that time. But what would the Wack Packer do if Howard asked her for some money for once?

“She always calls me and asks me for money” Howard said to Robin during Wednesday’s Stern Show. “What would happen if I called Wendy and told her I was broke and I needed a couple of bucks? Would she lend me money?”

Robin was confident her answer would be no. Fred also assumed Wendy would be “tight with a buck.”

Turns out, they were right.

“I’m waiting ‘til my mom has some money to give me so I can do some things,” Wendy told Howard on the recording of their phone call.

No matter how hard Howard pleaded, Wendy was unwilling to help.

“You have to do what you have to do,” Wendy told him. “I have no money, I’m broke.” She then abruptly hung up.

“This is so interesting, I think I’m going to do it with other people,” Howard said of his generosity experiment.
