Are Richard Christy and his wife planning to induce labor on Oct. 31 to ensure they have a Halloween baby?

Howard discovered the rumors were untrue Monday morning when he confronted the Stern Show staffer with the news he had heard.

Richard explained that their son, Carson Cain Christy, is due on Nov. 2 and—while the doctor said they might be able to induce labor earlier if it was really important to the couple—they would be doing whatever is safest for the baby.

Richard also confirmed he would be taking paternity leave when his son is born to help out around the house. “I’ve turned into Mr. Mom,” he told Howard. “I’ve been doing all of the dishes, all of the laundry, all of the cleaning … so that my wife can just relax and think about the baby.”

Those chores were left unattended, though, when Richard took two days of vacation recently to visit what he once described as the “crème de la crème” of haunted Halloween events for the 21st year in a row—Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. “It’s my heaven,” he gushed.

While there was no doubt plenty of scares at the spooky event, the most frightening thing you see all day may be right inside Richard’s shoes. After running a 10-mile race on Sunday, an overly sweaty and greasy Richard explained that his pinky toes are becoming deformed. “Both my little toes have kind of turned sideways from running,” he said.

Check out photos of Richard’s toes and his trip to Orlando (below).
