Mariann from Brooklyn has spent the past few weeks tenaciously promoting Howard’s new book, but during a recent call to Sid Rosenberg’s radio show the longtime Stern Show superfan also happened to promote some huge news of her own: her plans to one day run for political office.

“I think I should be Brooklyn Borough President. I looked it up. It’s in 2021, I gotta get 4,000 signatures,” she said during her phone call to Sid. “I’m 60, and it’s time for me to do something and show women … There’s never been a female Brooklyn Borough President. I’m for everybody.”

Mariann confirmed her political aspirations on Wednesday’s Stern Show but swore she wouldn’t kick off her campaign until after Howard hung up the microphone for good. “Only if you retire,” she told him.

“I think she’d win,” Howard said after hearing her news.

“I think she’d be great,” co-host Robin Quivers concurred.

For now, however, Mariann’s attention seems solely focused on promoting “Howard Stern Comes Again.” In fact, she’s already pre-ordered 20 copies for herself and plans to give them out as gifts to her friends and family.

“She’s been on a mad tour about the book,” Howard explained before playing more clips from Mariann’s calls to Dr. Drew’s KABC-AM radio show, Jason Matheson’s morning talk show in Minneapolis, and Scott Ferrall’s late-night CBS Sports Radio show. She even got through on a home shopping show on the Evine network and waxed poetic about the book to host Jennifer Flavin Stallone, who also happens to be past Stern Show guest Sylvester Stallone’s wife.

“I would classify myself as the most loyal Howard Stern fan,” Mariann said in one clip. “And I’m here to spread the message about ‘Howard Stern Comes Again,’ May 14 … Could you believe it?”
