Frequent Stern Show caller Bobo was back on the phone on Tuesday to talk about a harrowing medical issue he went through recently, but Howard and Robin raised some doubts as to how bad it actually was.

“I thought I was going to die, Howard,” Bobo admitted.

The issue in question was a staph infection in one of Bobo’s fingers, caused by biting down his fingernail too far. “I’ve got to call you out, the way you were carrying on,” Howard responded. “Bobo, you’ve got to fucking man up a little bit.”

“Oh Howard, the pain was unbelievable, it was off the charts,” Bobo defended.

After hearing audio from the actual procedure correcting the issue that was obtained by Stern Show staffer Shuli Egar, Howard and Robin didn’t seem convinced. “Bobo, it couldn’t have been that painful,” Howard suggested. “I think you’re so anxious to get airtime that you were carrying on in the doctor’s office.”

“Ridiculous,” Robin agreed.

Bobo was in fact so concerned that he admitted to Shuli he made a farewell tape for his friends and family, just in case things took a turn for the worse. “This might be my last goodbyes,” Bobo can be heard saying.
