Howard and Robin break into their own duet of “Shallow” inspired by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga

February 25, 2019

Good Morning Everybody!

Lady Gaga and producer Mark Ronson took home an Academy Award Sunday night for penning “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born” — as correctly predicted by eight of ten Stern Show staffers in the office pool — and all eyes were on the live rendition of the tune featuring Bradley Cooper during the Oscars broadcast (above).

While Bradley and Gaga and were widely lauded for the performance, come Monday morning they faced some competition as Howard and Robin broke into their own version of the award-winning duet live on air.

“You haven’t sung since you retired. This is a big moment,” Howard told his co-host who previously announced her retirement from singing following a holiday duet with Miley Cyrus. Watch Robin and Howard’s performance (above).

When Lady Gaga visited the Stern Show in 2016, she told Howard how she initially got involved in making the film (below).

Moreover, just last month Mark Ronson stopped by and added to the story, revealing he was able to get the No. 1 hit tracked with the two stars in just a couple of weeks.
