Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi are teaming up once again for the Netflix comedy “The Week Of,” according to reports published Friday. The film co-stars Chris Rock and will be directed by “Saturday Night Live” veteran Robert Smigel—two longtime Stern Show favorites.

When Sandler sat down with Howard in April, he talked all about his overall deal with Netflix and even revealed key plot details for “The Week Of.” “My daughter’s going to marry Chris Rock’s son,” he explained. “It’s kind of [about] the week of the wedding and what families do and how crazy it gets.”

Sandler also talked about how the film came to be in the first place. “I called Smigel and I said ‘I have an idea’ and I told him about it and said ‘I would love you to work on it’ and he’s directing it and he’s doing the whole thing,” he said. “I knew it would be something that he would like to talk about it. It’s family stuff.”

“The Week Of” will mark the 13th feature-film collaboration for Sandler and Buscemi, with their on-screen relationship kicking off in 1994 with heavy metal-hostage comedy “Airheads” (pictured above).

Since then the duo has starred together in several modern classics, often with Buscemi making a cameo appearance as one of the film’s zaniest characters. Check out photos and GIFs from previous collaborations (below) and listen to Howard’s full 2017 interview with Adam here.
