VIDEO: Fred Armisen Does a Ringo Starr Impression in 'Standup for Drummers' Trailer

Fred Armisen makes quite an impression in the official trailer for his upcoming Netflix comedy special “Standup for Drummers.” In fact, he makes several of them.

The short clip (above) shows the “Saturday Night Live” legend and talented musician’s latest act, which includes both a bevy of jokes and a fully functioning drum kit. Fred teases quite a few different impressions, too, from a guy waiting to check in at a W Hotel to a fox decomposing in a time-lapse film. He also offers up an impression of Beatles great Ringo Starr gleefully pounding away at the drums.

The comedian—whose hit IFC series “Portlandia” just kicked off its final season—has of course joined the Stern Show several times over the years, both solo and alongside his former “SNL” colleagues Bill Hader and Seth Meyers.
