Aurora Spins, Dances, and Kisses in New 'Queendom' Music Video

Aurora opened up her arms and welcomed in the world on Wednesday in a dazzling, dizzying, and often sensual new music video.

Fresh off her Coachella 2018 performances, the 21-year-old Norwegian singer-songwriter has released the official video for “Queendom,” the lead single off her sophomore LP, hitting shelves later this year.

Set to lyrics of inclusion and captioned with a statement explaining the song celebrates “all the differences in us,” the Kinga Burza-directed video (above) shows Aurora spinning, dancing, and writhing about in a variety of industrial settings as she strives to literally embrace all the women and men gathered ’round in her “Queendom.” At one point, she pets a small, furry animal. Sometime later, in what she has described as a shout-out to her fans in the gay community, Aurora and many of the other female dancers in the video begin kissing each other.

Aurora’s upcoming album will be her first since her acclaimed debut “All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend,” which hit shelves in 2016—the same year she made her Stern Show debut. While visiting the studio, the then 20-year-old musician performed a killer cover of David Bowie’s “Life on Mars?”, sat with Howard for a fascinating interview, and even shared a “beautifully awkward” conversation with Stern Show staffer JD Harmeyer.
