VIDEO: New ‘Big Mouth’ Season 2 Trailer Boasts Ill-Timed Erections, Talking Pubic Hairs, and a Shame Wizard
Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg’s animated Netflix series returns Oct. 5 with new episodes
September 21, 2018Growing up isn’t getting any easier for the hormone-afflicted youngsters in Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg’s raunchy animated comedy series “Big Mouth.”
Released Thursday by Netflix and set to Deee-Lite’s 1990 hit “Groove Is in the Heart,” the official Season 2 trailer (above) reveals the core kids—Nick (Kroll), Andrew (celebrity superfan John Mulaney), Missy (Jenny Slate), and Jessi (Jessi Klein)—must contend with an entirely new set of problems as they enter seventh grade, including talking pubic hairs, divorce-inspired kleptomania, slut shaming, ill-timed erections, and even the Shame Wizard (voiced by “Wonder Woman” star and series newcomer David Thewlis). Of course, they’ll still have to deal with last season’s Hormone Monsters (voiced by Kroll and Maya Rudolph), which are constantly manipulating the children into making terrible decisions.
In addition to Thewlis, this season’s new cast members include Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”), reportedly voicing the first girl at the kids’ middle school to develop breasts. Other returning stars include Stern Show veteran Fred Armisen, Jason Mantzoukas, and Jordan Peele.
“Big Mouth” Season 2 debuts Oct. 5 on Netflix. Watch the official trailer (above).
