Stern Show veterans Mark Wahlberg and Ronda Rousey team up to save much of the world by transporting a human asset with valuable secrets through a cacophony of bullets, explosions, and roundhouse kicks in the first trailer for “Mile 22.”

The film’s action-heavy, quip-filled debut trailer (above) stars the Oscar-nominated actor and the professional fighter as two elite C.I.A. agents whose team operates outside the confines of diplomacy and normal military engagement.

“Do you want to live in a world where everybody feels cozy and validated all the time? Or do you want to live in a world that works?” Wahlberg’s character explains in the trailer (above).

When a large quantity of radioactive isotopes go missing, Ronda and Mark’s unit is suddenly tasked with safely transporting Li Noor (“The Raid’s” Iko Uwais), a mysterious police officer and martial arts master who knows where the dangerous materials might be stored. If they can’t get him to safety, it may mean the death of millions.

“Mile 22” co-stars John Malkovich and “The Walking Dead’s” Lauren Cohan. It’s directed by Peter Berg, a filmmaker who previously teamed with Wahlberg on a variety of projects, including “Patriots Day,” “Lone Survivor,” and “Deepwater Horizon,” also starring Kate Hudson. When Kate joined the Stern Show in 2016, she spoke all about playing Mark’s love interest in “Deepwater Horizon.” Take a look back at her interview here.

“Mile 22” blasts its way into theaters soon. Watch the official trailer (above).
