VIDEO: Morgan Freeman Drops 2 F-Bombs in Dave Chappelle’s ‘Sticks & Stones’ Comedy Special Trailer

Stern Show guest’s fifth Netflix standup special debuts on Aug. 26

Dave Chappelle stays silent and lets another famous Hollywood star do the talking in the trailer for his upcoming Netflix stand-up special “Sticks & Stones.”

The minute-long clip sees the past Stern Show guest walking silently through the desert as Morgan Freeman’s soothing voice narrates his every move. Dave eventually grabs a mic and a stool, as if he’s ready to begin a stand-up set, but Freeman’s foul-mouthed voiceover ultimately steals the show.

“This is Dave. He tells jokes for a living. Hopefully he makes people laugh, but these days it’s a high stakes game,” Freeman begins. “Hmm, how did we get here, I wonder? I don’t mean that metaphorically, I’m really asking: how did Dave get here? I mean, what the fuck is this?”

The monologue continues as Chappelle takes off his sunglasses and looks into the camera. “If you say anything you risk everything,” Freeman explains. “But if that’s the way it’s gotta be—okay, fine, fuck it—he’s back folks.”

“Sticks & Stones” serves as Dave’s fifth Netflix comedy special, following “The Age of Spin” and “Equanimity,” among others, the latter of which used a different celebrity cameo to subvert expectations as Chappelle and actress Millie Bobby Brown spoof “Stranger Things.”
