COVID mutates and the U.S. military starts ripping infected Americans from their homes in the trailer for the upcoming Michael Bay-produced quarantine thriller “Songbird.”

Set in the fourth year of lockdown amid a COVID-23 outbreak, the dystopian drama follows a few brave souls fighting back against an oppressive government interring infected citizens in deadly containment camps known as Q-Zones. Nico (KJ Apa), an immune Los Angelino, must scour the streets for his love interest Sara (Sofia Carson) when she’s taken away after she’s believed to be infected. Bradley Whitford (“Get Out”) and 2019 Stern Show guest Demi Moore co-star as a wealthy couple who may hold the key to Nico’s mission.

“Sometimes we have to do things we don’t want to survive,” Moore say at one point in the trailer (above).

Adam Mason directed and co-wrote “Songbird,” which co-stars Peter Stormare (“Fargo”), Craig Robinson (“Pineapple Express”), Paul Walter Hauser (“Cobra Kai”), and “True Detective” actress Alexandra Daddario.

“Songbird” is coming soon to theaters.
