A decades-old dark secret threatens to destroy Mila Kunis’s perfect life in the official trailer for “Luckiest Girl Alive,” debuting Oct. 7 on Netflix.

The A-list actress stars in the thriller as Ani FaNelli, a glamorous New Yorker whose dream job in journalism and idyllic Nantucket wedding are imperiled after a documentary director starts sniffing around, hoping to uncover the dark details of a sordid incident from her past.

Directed by Mike Barker and written by Jessica Knoll (who also penned the bestselling novel of the same name), “The Luckiest Girl Alive” co-stars Finn Wittrock, Scoot McNairy, Thomas Barbusca, Justine Lupe, Jennifer Beals, and Connie Britton as well as Chiara Aurelia, who plays the teenage version of Mila’s character.

As listeners no doubt remember, Kunis was considerably more forthcoming with stories from her childhood while visiting the Stern Show in 2016 for a sit-down with Howard that covered everything from spending her family savings on acting classes when she was a young girl to her relationship with Ashton Kutcher.
