VIDEO: Pete Davidson Gets Seduced by a Time Traveling Kaley Cuoco in ‘Meet Cute’ Trailer

Sci-fi rom com debuts Sept. 21 on Peacock

September 9, 2022

“SNL” alum Pete Davidson and “Flight Attendant” star Kaley Cuoco pull a few pages from the “Palm Springs” and “Groundhog Day” playbooks in the trailer for their upcoming sci-fi romantic comedy “Meet Cute.”

Debuting later this month on Peacock, the film follows a time-traveling Sheila (Cuoco) in search of a perfect first date with Gary (Davidson). Moments Gary first chalks up to fate — like their shared love for an Old Fashioned — he later learns are the result of her willingness to repeatedly return to the same day with Gary, even if that means murdering previous iterations of herself.

“It started as an accident and then I fell in love with you — and this time, I am going to make it work,” Cuoco says (above).

Directed by Alex Lehmann (“Paddleton”) and written by Noga Pnueli, “Meet Cute” co-stars Deborah S. Craig, Rock Kohli, and Sierra Fisk. For Davidson, it’s one of several starring roles since leaving “Saturday Night Live” at the end of last season. The actor and comedian also appeared in the horror-comedy “Bodies Bodies Bodies” and as the voice of the titular dog in “Marmaduke.” During his Stern Show return in 2020, Pete told Howard all about his journey from “Saturday Night Live” to the big screen. Check out the full conversation here and a clip from the interview (below).
