VIDEO: Adam Driver Fights Dinosaurs in Time-Travel Thriller ’65’

Sci-fi action flick opens March 10

December 15, 2022

Adam Driver has battled Jedi masters, messy breakups, and even Matt Damon in recent years, but in his new movie “65” the actor and Stern Show guest takes on his most deadly threat yet: dinosaurs.

The sci-fi thriller follows a starship pilot (Driver) who crashes on an unknown planet only to learn it’s Earth — 65 million years in the past. As if accidentally time traveling back into the past and being thrust into an uncharted wilderness weren’t scary enough, Driver and a fellow survivor must also battle an assortment of dinosaurs, including one hungry-looking tyrannosaurus rex.

“There’s something alien out there,” shortly before shooting a dinosaur in the face with his space gun.

Produced by Sam Raimi and written and directed by “A Quiet Place’s” Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, “65” co-stars Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman.

While Driver may best be known for his dramatic roles, the Oscar-winning actor has made a name for himself as an action star, too, starting with his turn as Kylo Ren in the most recent “Star Wars” films. During his visit to the Stern Show in 2015, he spoke to Howard all about his decision to join that franchise as well as what he did before becoming a professional actor. Watch a clip from the interview (below).

“65” opens March 10.
