VIDEO: Pete Davidson Plays Pete Davidson in Action-Comedy Series ‘Bupkis’
“SNL” veteran stars as himself alongside a cast featuring Edie Falco, Joe Pesci, Jon Stewart, Brad Garrett, and more
April 17, 2023Pete Davidson is tearing a page out of Larry David’s book with the new action-comedy series “Bupkis,” streaming on Peacock in May.
The “Saturday Night Live” star and Stern Show guest plays a “heightened fictionalized” version of himself on the show, which has drawn comparisons to David’s long-running hit “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He stars alongside plenty of big names, too, including Joe Pesci — who plays his cranky grandfather — Edie Falco (“Sopranos” and “Private Parts”) — who plays his roommate and mother — and an assortment of characters played by John Mulaney, Jon Stewart, Machine Gun Kelly, Brad Garrett, Kenan Thompson, Steve Buscemi, Simon Rex, Jane Curtin, Method Man, Dave Attell, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Charlie Day, and Chase Sui Wonders.
“I Googled myself yesterday. It was bad,” Davidson laments at one point (above). “I just want like a regular-type life.”
Irregular as it may be, Pete Davidson’s life made for an engrossing conversation with Howard when he joined the Stern Show in 2020. The comedian memorably opened up to about a range of topics, including his high-profile relationships and why he continued living in his mom’s basement despite a crippling fear she might walk in on him while he’s masturbating. “Bupkis” debuts May 4 on Peacock.
