AUDIO: Eminem and Beyoncé ‘Walk on Water’ in New Song

Collaboration hails from rapper’s upcoming album “Revival,” out on Friday

November 13, 2017

Eminem has teamed up with Beyoncé for “Walk on Water,” a new song from the Detroit-based rapper and Stern Show guest’s forthcoming album “Revival.”

The song begins with Queen Bey revealing she’s able to walk on water, though she’s quick to point out there’s nothing messianic about her abilities. “I walk on water / But I ain’t no Jesus / I walk on water/ But only when it freezes (fuck),” the Grammy-winning singer and soon-to-be “Lion King” star sings in an oft-repeated chorus.

Indeed, the remainder of the song paints the two musicians as being far from deities, focusing instead on several of Eminem’s very human flaws, including previous addictions, career missteps, and shaken confidence.

Eminem’s new album “Revival,” his first studio effort in four years, is expected to drop on Friday. Additionally, he’ll serve as music guest on this weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” alongside host Chance the Rapper.
