Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and More to Pay Tribute to Elton John on Two New Albums

“Revamp” and “Restoration” are set for release on April 6th

March 15, 2018

An all-star lineup of performers will appear on two new albums paying tribute to Elton John and and his longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin.

“Revamp” and “Restoration,” both set for release on April 6th, will feature a number of recent Stern Show guests including Miley Cyrus singing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” Lady Gaga performing “Your Song,” Ed Sheeran crooning “Candle in the Wind,” Chris Stapleton doing “I Want Love,” and Don Henley singing “Sacrifice” with Vince Gill.

Additional artists like Mary J. Blige, Queens of the Stone Age, Q-Tip, and best new artist Grammy winner Alessia Cara will also appear.

“It’s always a huge compliment when an artist loves your song enough to take the time and effort to rework it,” Elton said in a statement. “As songwriters, Bernie and myself are thrilled when singers we admire and respect as much as those on ‘Revamp’ and ‘Restoration’ choose to add their own unique twist in the process. It means that our music is still relevant and ultimately that our songs continue to reach new audiences.”

The 70-year-old music icon will soon take his career victory lap as he announced in January that he’ll pull back from the road after the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which kicks off in North America in September.
