Netflix released the Season 2 trailer for its Emmy-nominated crime thriller “Ozark,” and it appears as if Jason Bateman’s money-laundering protagonist Marty Byrde has once again bitten off more than he can chew.

Clocking in at under two minutes and featuring a raspy cover of David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold the World,” the new look begins with a fresh corpse. “Another man is dead,” Marty’s wife Wendy (Laura Linney) explains (above).

“People make choices, Wendy,” Marty tells her. “We’re not gonna live under the weight of those decisions.”

Indeed, this latest “Ozark” trailer suggests many more difficult choices are to come for Marty, who fled with his family to the so-called “Redneck Riviera” on Season 1 of the series to save his own skin after stealing millions from a dangerous drug cartel. Now, he must contend with not only the cartel but also feds looking to bust him and a family of local grifters trying to get his money.

Bateman, who also executive produces the series, is up for both an acting and directing Emmy this year thanks to his work on “Ozark.” The entertainer last visited the Stern Show in 2014 and discussed his early days in Hollywood as well as his other Netflix series, “Arrested Development,” which recently debuted a new season of its own. “Ozark” Season 2, co-starring Julia Garner (“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”) and Janet McTeer (“Jessica Jones”), debuts Aug. 31 on Netflix.
