VIDEO: Ryan Reynolds Takes on Josh Brolin, Half-Naked Ninjas, and Man Buns in 3-Part ‘Deadpool 2’ Trailer

“Deadpool 2” dropped a three-part TV spot on Sunday night during a string of AMC zombie shows, beginning with the Season 8 finale of “The Walking Dead,” starring recent Stern Show guest Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The clips began with Ryan Reynolds—who stars as Marvel’s so-called Merc with a Mouth—scarfing down popcorn in his Deadpool costume. “Don’t you just love it when two of your favorite things come together?” he asks before turning to the camera and instructing us to enjoy “The Walking Deadpool.”

Part one of the superhero sequel’s latest trailer (above) includes a makeout session between Deadpool and his girl, Vanessa (“Gotham’s” Morena Baccarin), and an explosive entrance from the film’s antagonist, Cable (played by Josh Brolin, who also stars as Thanos in this April’s “Avengers: Infinity War”). It ends with a cliffhanger but picks right back up in subsequent ads which aired later that night during “Fear the Walking Dead” and “The Talking Dead.” Those spots are chock-full of action and one-liners, too, with highlights including a hot take on the man bun and a sword fight between Deadpool and what looks to be two underwear-clad ninjas. While the three-part “Deadpool 2” trailer was a treat for fans who happened to be watching AMC’s popular zombie shows, it wasn’t a complete surprise as the film’s official Twitter account teased the crossover earlier in the day with a poster depicting Deadpool as a zombie:
