VIDEO: Al Pacino Goes After New York Nazis in Teaser for Jordan Peele’s ‘Hunters’
1970s-set thriller debuts on Amazon Prime Video in 2020
November 21, 2019“Get Out” director Jordan Peele has unleashed the trailer for “Hunters,” his upcoming 1970s-set series starring Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino as a powerful and mysterious man who leads a group of vigilantes on a quest to eradicate high-ranking Nazi officials plotting something sinister in New York City.
“There comes a time where we all must choose between the light and the darkness, but when there’s great darkness in this world perhaps a choice is made for us,” Pacino’s character opines in the teaser. “For eons, people like us have been degraded and exterminated. But no more.”
“So the time to act is now before everything we hold dear to us is destroyed,” he continues over shots of guns, exploding cars, and backyard barbecues gone horribly awry. “This is not murder. This is mitzvah. Welcome to the hunt.”
Pacino, who also plays Jimmy Hoffa in Martin Scorsese’s new gangster epic “The Irishman,” co-stars alongside Logan Lerman, Josh Radnor, Jerrika Hinton, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Carol Kane, and Dylan Baker in “Hunters.” Peele executive produced the series with creator David Weil serving as showrunner alongside Nikki Toscano.
“Hunters” hits Amazon Prime Video in 2020.
