Former Swap Shop D.J. Jack Miller might have passed but that hasn’t stopped Stern Show staffers Richard Christy and Sal Governale from adding to their list of iconic Tradio phony phone calls. On Tuesday, Howard debuted their latest, in which the duo continuously breaks the radio show’s new rule of only one call or text per listener per day. “I’ve got a doghouse for sale … I texted it too,” Richard said immediately after the host explained their updated guidelines.
After getting one violating call after the next, the host was so frustrated it even led to an in injury. “I just chipped my tooth on the microphone … I’ve got a big chip taken out of my tooth from doing Tradio,” he complained.
When Sal called and texted his offering of a paddle “perfect for keeping these gosh darn troublemakers in line,” he was happy to take on the punishment himself. “Oh, wait a minute, I just broke the rules myself … I’m whacking myself with the paddle,” he announced in between hits.
