Even Swap Shop is susceptible to cancel culture these days. Debuting Monday morning, the latest of countless phony phone calls to the radio program started out with Stern Show staffer Sal Governale pretending to sell an old box of pancake mix with Aunt Jemima on the cover—something another caller didn’t appreciate. “That version of the pancake mix that he was selling, that’s been canceled,” an outraged Richard Christy noted afterwards. “I would like to go ahead and just cancel that item and cancel that caller while I’m at it.”

What followed was an array of furious listeners who complained about everything from Southern accents to the racist undertones of the Swap Shop format, before the original caller phoned in a second time. “Since everybody’s canceling things, can we cancel my pain-in-the-ass wife?” he joked with a laugh.
