Video: ‘Hit ‘Em With the Hein’ Is Taking Over Norwegian TV
International reporter asks Facebook for an explanation after being interrupted by a Stern Show fan screaming the Jon Hein-inspired catchphrase

“Hit ’em with the Hein” has gone international!
Norwegian newsman Anders Tvegård took to Facebook on Tuesday after being interrupted by a Stern Show fan screaming everyone’s favorite Jon Hein-inspired catchphrase. The reporter posted a video of the incident on his Facebook page, inviting followers to explain precisely what “hit ’em with the Hein” meant.
“Looks like it’s a thing in this country: interrupt reporters and scream #hitemwiththehein,” he wrote, at least according to Facebook’s built-in translator. “Well I got a good microphone that doesn’t catch up all the noise, but someone who can explain what it means?”
The disruption happened while Tvegård, a reporter for NRK (Norway’s government-owned broadcasting company), filmed a news segment in the streets of Washington, D.C. The “passerby” who yelled out “Hit ’em with the Hein!” also told the reporter he’d be voting for Donald Trump in the upcoming election, according to the post.
